This job consists of various aspects of just about every residential trade, including framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, tile, finish carpentry, and much more! You would be working along side other carpenters or leading a job with a helper to complete residential remodels from start to finish. Every job is different, giving the opportunity to gain experience in a range of skills. Duties Perform residential remodel work Tasks will include demolition, framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, trim work, cabinetry, flooring, tiling, hanging doors and windows, and other aspects of residential construction Maintain a clean and organized job site Maintain a clean and organized work trailer Make materials lists for purchase from supplies Going to Home Depot or other stores to purchase materials for jobs For the right candidate, you may be overseeing a helper/laborer and helping to train them in the trades Maintain company tools in working order Qualifications Motivated individuals with a strong interest in all aspects of residential construction and carpentry are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in residential construction or remodeling is required. Must own a reliable mode of transportation. Must have your own hand tools and power tools. Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team is essential. Physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and performing manual tasks throughout the workday is necessary. Strong attention to detail ensures accuracy in all tasks and is a must. A commitment to safety practices on-site is mandatory. Candidates should possess good communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning new skills. This job can provide the right person a chance to continue their experience in the trades and has room to grow into a lifelong career!
