Entry-Level Carpenter

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Carpenter to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to work on residential remodeling projects, learning from experienced craftsmen while contributing to high-quality renovations. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in carpentry basics, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn advanced techniques.

Key Duties :

General Carpentry :

Measure, cut and assemble wood and other materials for construction.

Interior Finishing :

Install cabinetry, trim, molding, doors and windows.

Demolition :

Safely remove old materials and structures while preparing sites for new installations.

Flooring :

Lay laminate or other flooring materials accurately and efficiently.

Drywall Installation :

Hang, tape and finish drywall to a professional standard.

Painting & Staining :

Prep surfaces and apply paint or stain to walls, furniture, and woodwork.

Tile Work :

Install backsplashes, wall tiles and floor tiles with precision and alignment.

Minor Repairs :

Address small repairs like patching holes, adjusting fixtures and correcting carpentry issues.

Tools & Maintenance :

Operate and maintain power tools, hand tools and construction equipment.

Safety Compliance :

Follow company safety protocols and ensure work areas are clean and hazard-free.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Basic knowledge of carpentry and construction techniques. Familiarity with tools such as saws, drills, nail guns and levels. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work plans. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship. Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with the crew and clients.
