Tyler Construction and Remodeling LLC is growing, and we're looking to build relationships with skilled, experienced tradespeople and independent contractors throughout Central New York. We're interested in everyone from solid mid-level tradespeople who can confidently perform their craft to highly experienced master-level professionals capable of independently managing complex work from start to finish. If you take pride in your craftsmanship, have your own professional tools and equipment, operate professionally, and want consistent opportunities with a growing local construction company, we want to talk with you.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're seeking experienced professionals in areas such as: General residential remodeling Rough and finish carpentry Kitchen remodeling Bathroom remodeling Framing Drywall installation and finishing Flooring installation Trim and millwork Doors and windows Decks and porches Siding and exterior work Painting and finishing General residential repairs Property improvements Light plumbing and electrical experience You don't have to know every trade. We're looking for people who are good at what they do, know their capabilities, and take pride in delivering professional-quality work.

EXPERIENCE LEVELS SKILLED / MID-LEVEL TRADES PERSON

You have solid hands-on construction experience and can complete many assigned tasks independently while maintaining professional-quality workmanship.

EXPERIENCED / LEAD-LEVEL TRADES PERSON

You can independently complete multiple phases of remodeling and construction, troubleshoot problems, read the job, determine what needs to be done, and produce quality finished work with minimal direction.

MASTER-LEVEL CRAFTSMAN

You're highly experienced in your trade, capable of handling complex projects independently, understand the complete construction process, and consistently produce exceptional work. Your experience, capabilities, equipment, and level of independence will help determine where you fall within our compensation range.

COMPENSATION

$25.00

•40.00 PER HOUR Compensation is based on: Experience and demonstrated skill level Quality of workmanship Ability to work independently Trade specialization Productivity and efficiency Scope and complexity of the work Reliability and professionalism Tools and equipment you bring to the job Ability to take responsibility for larger portions of a project

YOUR EQUIPMENT CAN INCREASE YOUR VALUE

We expect independent contractors to have the normal hand and power tools necessary for their trade. However, contractors who bring a more complete professional tool and equipment setup may qualify for higher compensation depending on the work being performed. If you have specialized tools, larger equipment, trailers, work vehicles, scaffolding, saw systems, or other equipment that allows you to complete work more efficiently and independently, we want to know about it. The more capability you bring to the project, the more we're willing to discuss compensation that reflects that value.

MORE THAN JUST AN HOURLY RATE

We want to build long-term relationships with talented tradespeople, and we're open to rewarding contractors who consistently bring value to our projects. In addition to the base hourly rate, opportunities may include: Fuel stipends based on project location and travel requirements Performance-based incentives for exceptional workmanship, productivity, and reliability Project completion incentives for successfully completing qualifying projects Lead and project responsibility premiums for contractors capable of taking greater ownership of a project Higher compensation for specialized skills or equipment Referral incentives for helping us connect with qualified tradespeople Preferred contractor opportunities for individuals who consistently deliver quality work Priority consideration for available projects based on performance, reliability, and capabilities Opportunities for larger and higher-value projects Potential alternative compensation structures for experienced contractors and master-level tradespeople Not every contractor or project will use the same compensation structure. We're interested in discussing what you bring to the table and creating an arrangement that makes sense for the work being performed.

INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should operate as legitimate independent contractors and be prepared to provide appropriate documentation. Depending on the work being performed, this may include: Your own professional tools and equipment Reliable transportation Valid driver's license General liability insurance Workers' compensation coverage or applicable documentation W-9 Appropriate business documentation Any licenses required for the work being performed Ability to provide certificates of insurance when required You should be comfortable operating independently and providing the tools, equipment, knowledge, and experience necessary to perform your trade professionally.
