Visiontron, a family-owned, Hauppauge-based manufacturing company, is hiring for a Metal Fabricator/Carpenter. We're seeking a seasoned metal fabricator or carpenter who is a craftsman at heart with a desire to lead and grow. During our over 50 years here on Long Island, we have become a leading manufacturer of consumer guidance products, and we'd love to add a person to our team who is looking to grow with us. As our metal fabricator/ carpenter, you'll help in several different applications. You will fabricate architectural/fixture products from blueprints, converting plans to reality. You'll work with metals, plastics, and wood in a job-shop environment with custom and standard products ranging from 1 to 1000 pieces. Along with manual fabrication, you will interact with, learn, and motivate other departments such as CNC plasma, welding, and sheet metal. There will be occasional off-site installations. What We Are Looking for
In You:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in fabrication of metal, plastic, and wood Ability to read blueprints and convert concepts to reality Strong mechanical abilities with experience in (or willingness to learn) plasma, sheet metal, and other fabrication methods Must be a team player - you will be managing and leading others Knowledge of welding a plus Why We're a Great Place to
