Job Description
Overview We are growing!! Therefore, we are seeking an additional highly motivated, skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with the ability to work on various projects including construction, and renovation. Excellent work ethic, and the ability to work 50 - 60 hours a week are a must. Must be able to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 80+ lbs routinely. This role requires proficiency in using power tools and the ability to read and interpret schematics. A commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail is essential. A bit about our company- Established in 2015, we are a family owned company that constructs custom pole barns and barndominiums, along with framing homes and performing exterior renovations. We take pride in excellent workmanship and maintaining a clean and positive work environment. Responsibilities Assemble and install structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard. Install framing systems (post frame and stud frame). Install metal roofing systems (steel and shingle) Install various siding systems Install windows and doors to manufacture specifications Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project completion according to specifications. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately. Qualifications Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in construction or woodworking. Proficiency with power tools and hand tools commonly used in carpentry. Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations. Ability to read schematics and technical documents effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
