Overview Cimorelli Contracting is looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter / Working Foreman to join our crew. We're looking for someone who can do more than just perform carpentry work. The right person should be capable of taking ownership of a project, working from plans, laying out work, directing a small crew, solving problems in the field, and maintaining a high standard of workmanship. Our projects are varied and include new construction, framing, renovations, concrete, timber work, site development, and other challenging residential and commercial projects. What we're looking for: Strong framing and general carpentry experience Ability to read plans and perform layout Comfortable leading and working alongside a small crew Able to work independently and make good field decisions Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Dependable, professional, and takes pride in quality work Duties Lead and supervise carpentry crew, providing clear direction and mentorship to ensure high standards of workmanship Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks including framing, trim work, siding, and masonry work Manage rebar installation, concrete forming, finishing, and restoration projects with precision Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery safely and efficiently on-site Coordinate with project manager to schedule work phases, order materials, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets Maintain strict safety protocols Skills Extensive experience in construction site management with a strong background in carpentry disciplines such as framing, trim carpentry, siding, and masonry Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting construction plans accurately Skilled in concrete forming and finishing, rebar installation Ability to operate hand tools, power tools (including saws and drills), heavy equipment (such as skid steer and excavator), and other construction machinery safely Strong knowledge of basic math skills for dimensional measurements and layout work using tape measures and other measuring devices Demonstrated leadership in construction management roles with excellent communication skills for coordinating teams and project stakeholders Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks while maintaining safety standards at all times
