Job Description
Cabinet Fabricator / Bench Carpenter HRI Interior Solutions Full-Time | Shop-Based | $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Cabinet Fabricator/Bench Carpenter to join our growing team. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cabinetry, millwork, or bench carpentry. In this role, you will build custom cabinetry, countertops, and other interior finishes from shop drawings, working alongside a skilled team in a well-equipped shop. What You'll Do Build and assemble custom cabinets and countertops from start to finish Measure, cut, and fit materials using hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery Read and interpret shop drawings to accurately build and assemble cabinetry and countertops Maintain quality standards and attention to detail across every project Qualifications We Are Looking For Minimum 5 years of experience in cabinetry, millwork, or bench carpentry required Experience with finish carpentry and cabinet assembly Proficient with woodworking hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery Ability to read and work from shop drawings A strong work ethic and pride in craftsmanship Reliable, punctual, and able to work well with others Detail-oriented Solid math skills and the ability to read a tape measure accurately High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications Experience in operating CNC machinery Experience with solid surface countertops Experience staining to match samples Work Environment and Physical Requirements Work is performed primarily in a shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and wood finishes Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves Occasional travel to job sites for installation and project support Must be able to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistance or appropriate equipment Comfortable standing, bending, and working with your hands throughout the day Company Environment Supportive team environment Training and opportunities to develop new skills 4 hour workdays on Fridays Weekends as needed Fixed work location (unlike typical construction-based jobs with rotating sites) Standard 40 hour work week Overtime opportunities available depending on production schedule Compensation The expected pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience, skills, and qualifications, in accordance with New York State pay transparency requirements.
