Position can be days or nights. Job Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Carpenter Apprentice and kick-start your career in the skilled trades industry! This entry-level position offers hands-on experience working alongside seasoned carpenters on a variety of residential and commercial projects. You will develop essential skills in framing, trim work, cabinetry, roofing, and restoration while gaining valuable knowledge of construction plans and safety protocols. This paid apprenticeship is designed to foster growth, enhance your technical abilities, and prepare you for a successful future in carpentry. Duties Assist senior carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other construction materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to ensure accurate project execution. Support framing, drywall installation, siding, roofing, and door hanging tasks on residential or commercial sites. Operate woodworking machines safely to fabricate components such as cabinets, fixtures, or custom woodwork. Participate in construction site activities including heavy lifting, material handling, rebar installation, concrete forming, and plastering. Aid in restoration projects involving water damage repair, stucco application, siding replacement, or general remodeling efforts. Follow all power tool safety guidelines while handling drills, saws, CNC machines, and other equipment to maintain a safe work environment. Requirements Basic construction experience or familiarity with the construction industry preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is essential. Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately. Comfortable working with hand tools such as hammers, chisels, screwdrivers, and measuring devices. Knowledge of power tools for woodworking including saws, drills, sanders, and CNC machinery is a plus. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods on construction sites. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety procedures like power tool safety protocols. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork and learning new skills.
