Commercial Carpenter - ($24-$30) Full-Time |
Commercial Construction Compensation:
Base Hourly Rate and $120/week Vehicle Allowance for Foreman (Paid weekly). Travel Benefits Notice This position may require travel. Company-paid lodging and per diem are provided only when employees are assigned to work outside the designated local radius from our office. Candidates who choose to live outside the local area are expected to provide their own housing and transportation for projects located within the local work radius. Position Summary The Commercial Carpenter is responsible for independently performing skilled installation of metal stud framing, drywall systems, and acoustical ceiling (ACT) systems on commercial job sites. This role requires strong knowledge of construction methods, the ability to read plans, and consistent delivery of high-quality work in a safe and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities Install metal stud framing, drywall, and acoustical ceiling systems per plans and specifications Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and project documents Perform layout, measure, cut, and install materials with precision Maintain production pace while ensuring quality workmanship Follow all jobsite safety standards and company policies Work collaboratively with foremen, project managers, and other trades Identify and communicate potential issues before they impact production Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment Lead, manage, and develop field crews on commercial job sites Plan daily and weekly work to meet project schedules and production goals Read and interpret blueprints to direct layout and installation Ensure all work meets company quality standards and specifications Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe jobsite environment Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other trades Track labor productivity and adjust crews as needed Identify and resolve jobsite challenges proactively Train and mentor journeyman and apprentice-level team members Qualifications 4+ years of interior and exterior metal stud framing 2+ years in a leadership or foreman role preferred Strong experience with metal stud framing, drywall systems, and ACT Ability to read plans and manage layout independently Proven ability to lead crews and manage production schedules Strong communication and problem-solving skills Reliable transportation and ability to travel as required
