Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to oversee and produce on various construction projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in multiple areas of construction and carpentry, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires strong leadership abilities, effective communication skills, and a hands-on approach. Responsibilities Execute trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and cabinet installation tasks as needed. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various construction tasks, including concrete forming, plastering, and roofing. Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and layout. Oversee the installation of fixtures, siding, doors, and other components as part of the restoration process. Ensure compliance with safety regulations on the construction site while maintaining a clean work environment. Train and mentor team members in best practices for carpentry, flooring installation, tile laying, metal stud framing, assembly, caulking, some drywall work and construction painting. Experience Proven experience in the construction industry with a strong background in carpentry and restoration. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively. Prior experience in the restoration industry is helpful. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work performed. Ability to lift heavy materials safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
