Carpenter / Restoration Technician BBSI is hiring on behalf of a local client for a Carpenter / Restoration Technician. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join a growing team performing carpentry, restoration, and job site support services. This position requires a strong work ethic, professionalism, attention to safety, and the ability to work independently while following project scopes and company procedures. Position Summary The Carpenter / Restoration Technician is responsible for completing assigned work according to project specifications, maintaining a safe and organized job site, documenting job progress, operating company equipment and vehicles, and delivering high-quality workmanship. This role works closely with the Project Manager and contributes to successful project completion through effective communication, organization, and attention to detail. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Job Site Operations Follow project scopes and work assignments provided by the Project Manager Maintain safe and secure job sites throughout the project Identify and report potential safety concerns or project issues Perform carpentry, restoration, and related construction tasks using proper techniques and procedures Maintain a high standard of workmanship and professionalism Documentation & Reporting Record daily job notes, timecard notes, and project updates Take detailed photographs throughout all phases of the project, including: Before and after work completion Damaged areas Equipment setup and usage Progress milestones Safety or site concerns Maintain accurate digital records and project documentation Equipment Management Operate, maintain, and store tools and equipment safely Ensure equipment is clean, organized, and ready for use Secure equipment during transportation to prevent damage Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment promptly Track equipment locations and usage as required Vehicle Responsibilities Operate company vehicles safely and professionally Conduct routine vehicle inspections Keep vehicles clean, stocked, fueled, and prepared for daily operations Report maintenance needs promptly Safety Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) Follow all company safety policies and procedures Maintain awareness of job site hazards and environmental conditions Promote a safe work environment for coworkers and clients Professionalism & Customer Service Represent the company professionally at all times Maintain courteous and respectful interactions with clients and the public Direct project-specific questions to the Project Manager Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members Qualifications Previous carpentry, restoration, construction, or related experience preferred Ability to follow directions and work independently Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to document work accurately and thoroughly Commitment to safety and quality workmanship Valid driver's license preferred Reliable transportation and attendance required Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in varying conditions throughout the workday Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and company vehicles Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environments Reporting Structure This position reports directly to the Project Manager.
