Pennsylvania, New Jersey & Delaware Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our growing commercial construction team. This is a hands-on position for a highly skilled carpenter who takes pride in quality workmanship and can work independently while effectively coordinating with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of commercial carpentry experience and be comfortable performing a wide range of rough and finish carpentry tasks. The Lead Carpenter will be responsible for completing assigned work according to blueprints, specifications, project schedules, and quality standards. Candidates should be comfortable traveling to commercial project sites throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware . Key Responsibilities Install commercial doors, frames, door hardware, trim, millwork, and cabinetry Perform metal and wood framing Install drywall, insulation, and acoustical ceilings Install flooring and other finish materials Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications Take accurate measurements and complete jobsite layouts Cut, fit, install, and finish various construction materials Complete punch-list items and project closeout work Identify and correct quality issues and installation problems Coordinate daily work activities with project managers and site supervisors Work effectively with other trades and subcontractors Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Properly use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment Follow OSHA, company, and project-specific safety requirements Help ensure projects remain on schedule and meet quality standards Perform other carpentry and general construction duties as assigned Required Qualifications Minimum 10+ years of commercial carpentry experience Extensive knowledge of commercial construction and finish carpentry Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques Proficient with hand and power tools Ability to accurately measure, cut, fit, and install materials Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Reliable transportation Valid driver's license Ability to travel throughout PA, NJ, and DE Ability to lift 50+ pounds Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, climb, and perform physical construction work for extended periods Ability to safely work on ladders and at elevated heights Dependable, professional, and punctual Strong communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications OSHA 10 certification preferred OSHA 30 certification is a plus Previous Lead Carpenter or Foreman experience Experience working on commercial construction sites Experience coordinating with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades Experience with commercial doors, frames, hardware, millwork, and finish carpentry Knowledge of commercial building codes and safety requirements Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry materials weighing 50+ pounds Stand and walk for extended periods Bend, kneel, reach, climb, and work in various positions Work from ladders and elevated work areas Safely operate hand and power tools Perform repetitive construction and installation tasks Work in active commercial construction environments What We're Looking For We are looking for a skilled and dependable Lead Carpenter who can take ownership of assigned work and consistently deliver high-quality results.
