This energetic position offers opportunities to develop your skills across various aspects of carpentry and construction, from framing and finishing to installation and restoration. Whether you're assisting skilled carpenters or working independently, your enthusiasm and dedication will help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their expertise in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Duties Assist with a wide range of carpentry tasks including framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinetry, and roofing. Operate hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and install materials such as wood, drywall, stucco, tile, and glass. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project specifications and ensure accurate execution. Support concrete forming, finishing, masonry work, and plastering activities on various projects. Help with construction site inspections to maintain safety standards and quality control throughout each phase of work. Prepare materials and set up work areas for efficient workflow; assist in fabrication and heavy equipment operation when needed. Perform general cleanup duties, caulking, painting touch-ups, and other finishing tasks to ensure a polished final product. Experience Prior experience in construction or carpentry is highly preferred; familiarity with construction management processes is a plus. Hands-on knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics interpretation is essential for precise work execution. Experience with heavy equipment operation such as forklifts or cranes is advantageous but not required. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in framing, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, and masonry. Knowledge of safety protocols on construction sites to promote a secure working environment. Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, restoration projects, or hardscape installation is beneficial.
