Stonewall Ridge Remodeling & Construction is a local residential remodeling company in Scranton, PA. Our work is kitchen and bathroom renovations, whole-home remodeling, and deck construction, performed inside customers' occupied homes. We are hiring an experienced carpenter who can take a project from rough framing through finish work with limited supervision. This is a carpenter position, not a laborer or helper position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Framing, finish carpentry, trim work, and general repairs
• Install doors, windows, cabinets, flooring, and other building materials
• Kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects
• Build and repair decks, including framing, decking, stairs, and railings
• Read plans and measurements; lay out and complete work accurately
• Safely operate hand and power tools
• Work independently and coordinate with the project supervisor
• Maintain a clean and safe job site in occupied homes

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on residential carpentry or remodeling experience
• Able to independently hang and case doors, set cabinets, run trim, and build deck stairs and railings
• Proficient with hand and power tools; own basic hand tools required (specialty tools provided)
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
• Able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds or more, work on ladders, and stay on your feet most of the day, indoors and outdoors in all weather
• Able to work safely and follow instructions

SCREENING

• A pre-employment background check and motor vehicle record check are required. Our work is performed inside customers' occupied homes.
• Applicants must answer the screening questions. A resume is helpful but not required.
• A hands-on skills evaluation is part of the interview.

Pay is $25.00 to $35.00 per hour based on experience and demonstrated skill. The top of the range is for a carpenter who can run a kitchen or bathroom remodel on their own. Full-time, 40 hours per week, in person. Specialty tools provided.
