No Department Details Working on projects that involve wall mounted objects such as hanging pictures, hanging signage, cabinets, hand sanitizers, paper dispensers. Hours are M-F 7:30am to 4pm. Must have a valid drivers license with a good driving record. Be able to read floor plans and blue prints. Summary The Carpenter is responsible for all carpentry tasks and assists the construction and facilities services staff with all aspects of constructing and remodeling. Job Description Familiar with all tools associated with the trade. Capable of working from blueprints and sketches. Knowledge of codes, cost estimates, and ability to interpret specifications helpful. Capable of accurate written and oral communication involving procedures, situations, and equipment. Constructs, erects, installs, and repair structures and fixtures. Assists with flooring, ceiling installation and systems, cabinets and millwork, wall protection, doors and hardware, wall covering removal, wall and floor expansion joints, marker boards, tack boards, modular furniture, clocks, and interior signage. May also install cabinets, siding, drywall and batt or roll insulation. Thorough knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools. Take extra precautions when working in patient/resident care areas and specifically, keep tools out of reach of children. Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Trade or Vocational School preferred.
