Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Helper to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential remodels to commercial builds, utilizing your carpentry expertise and hands-on skills. As a Carpenter/Helper, you will assist in constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures while gaining valuable experience across various facets of construction. Duties Assist lead carpenters in constructing frameworks, walls, floors, roofs, and other structural elements using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution. Perform demolition work and prepare sites for new construction or renovation activities. Operate heavy equipment and machinery safely when required for specific tasks such as concrete forming or masonry work. Support installation of fixtures including doors, windows, cabinets, glass panels, and trim carpentry components. Conduct construction inspections to verify quality standards and adherence to safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle. Assist with finishing tasks such as caulking, plastering, painting, flooring installation, tile laying, and stucco application to achieve polished results. Qualifications Prior experience working on construction sites with knowledge of various trades such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, or restoration is preferred. Familiarity with hand tools (e.g., hammers, saws), power tools (e.g., drills, grinders), and heavy equipment operation is highly desirable. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately; experience with Bluebeam software is a plus. Knowledge of construction management principles and estimating techniques will be advantageous. Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems relevant to construction projects. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety guidelines diligently. Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights or in confined spaces.
