Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead to oversee and coordinate construction projects with a focus on metal building erection, concrete forming, and comprehensive construction management. As a vital leader on our team, you will guide skilled tradespeople and ensure that all aspects of the project—from framing and masonry to roofing and restoration—are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Your expertise will drive project success, foster teamwork, and uphold safety protocols across diverse job sites. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex projects while demonstrating your mastery of construction techniques and leadership skills. Duties Supervise and coordinate all phases of construction projects, including metal building erection, concrete forming, masonry, roofing, siding, stucco, and remodeling efforts. Lead teams in the installation of rebar, framing (including wood and metal stud framing), trim carpentry, and drywall finishing. Operate or oversee the operation of heavy equipment and power tools necessary for site preparation and construction activities. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution. Manage onsite safety procedures, enforce OSHA standards, and conduct regular safety meetings to protect team members. Collaborate with project managers to develop schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of projects within budget. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to procure materials such as concrete, rebar, siding, roofing materials, and other construction supplies. Conduct quality control inspections on work performed including plastering, stucco application, siding installation, roofing systems, and restoration tasks. Ensure proper use of hand tools and power tools while maintaining a safe work environment. Document project milestones, site inspections, incident reports, and daily logs for accountability and reporting purposes. Qualifications Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in metal building erection, concrete forming, masonry, roofing, siding, stucco, remodeling or related fields. Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings. Skilled in rebar installation, concrete finishing techniques, framing (including woodwork), drywall finishing, plastering, trim carpentry & woodworking. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites. Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools essential for various trades within construction projects. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces as required by project demands. Valid certifications related to construction safety (such as OSHA) are preferred; familiarity with building codes is a plus.
