Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Carpenter/Laborer, where you will play a vital role in building, renovating, and restoring residential and commercial projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with skilled craftsmen on diverse tasks, from framing and trim carpentry to siding and fixture installation. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications. Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, and siding application. Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely while maintaining proper use of power tool safety protocols. Install fixtures, mold remediation components, stucco finishes, rebar in concrete work, and various wood construction materials. Assist with remodeling projects including tile laying, plastering, caulking, restoration work, and metal stud framing. Operate woodworking machines for precise cuts and assembly of cabinetry or custom woodwork. Support construction site safety by adhering to all safety guidelines related to power tools and construction procedures. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, or residential construction projects. Ability to read blueprints and construction plans accurately; interpreting technical drawings is essential. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels as well as power tools including drills, saws, sanders for woodworking tasks. Experience with framing (including metal studs), siding installation, fixture mounting, door hanging, and cabinet installation preferred. Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus; familiarity with the restoration industry or mold remediation is advantageous. Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding work while maintaining safety standards; previous site experience is highly valued. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to follow instructions precisely on complex projects. Must have reliable transportation.
