Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Residential Framing Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing the structural framework of residential buildings, ensuring precision, safety, and quality in every project. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life by interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, working efficiently with hand and power tools, and collaborating with other trades to deliver exceptional results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to residential construction projects that shape communities and enhance living spaces. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute framing layouts. Construct wall frames, floor systems, roof trusses, and other structural components using dimensional measurements and carpentry skills. Install metal studs, drywall, stucco, siding, and trim carpentry elements with precision and attention to detail. Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and welding equipment safely and effectively on-site. Perform heavy lifting of materials such as lumber, metal framing components, rebar, and concrete forms while maintaining safety protocols. Assist in concrete forming processes including rebar installation and finishing to ensure structural integrity. Collaborate with construction management teams to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and plans for efficient project execution. Conduct quality checks on framing work and make adjustments as needed to meet project specifications. Support site safety initiatives by adhering to OSHA standards and best practices during all phases of construction. Contribute to remodeling, restoration, or renovation projects by applying masonry skills or working with roofing and siding trades as required. Experience Proven experience in residential framing carpentry or related construction roles with a strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations. Demonstrated ability in metal building erection, concrete forming, masonry work, drywall installation, roofing, siding, and trim carpentry. Skilled in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings or schematics accurately for precise framing layouts. Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, hammers, levels; power tools including drills and nail guns; and heavy equipment operation when necessary. Knowledge of rebar installation, concrete finishing techniques, plastering, stucco application, and drywall finishing is highly desirable. Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and dimensional accuracy using tape measures or other measuring devices. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety practices; familiarity with construction management processes is a plus.
