Job Description
Lead Carpenter / Finish Carpenter We're an established finish-carpentry company with long-term builder relationships and consistent production work. I'm looking for an experienced carpenter who wants more responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to become a key part of the company. What you'll do Run residential finish-carpentry projects independently Set cabinets Set doors and windows Install trim, crown, and other finish work Install cabinet hardware and other detail work Read plans and solve problems without constant direction Work directly with builders and other trades Eventually supervise 1-3 other carpenters Take ownership of getting a house completed correctly and on schedule Recognize when an issue genuinely needs the owner's involvement and communicate it We primarily trim residential homes and also complete lighter commercial projects, including twin homes, 4-plex townhomes, and occasional 8-plex townhomes. What we're looking for We're looking for someone with solid residential finish-carpentry experience who can work independently and take ownership of a project. You don't need to know every task we do on day one. We're willing to train the right person on more detail-oriented work, including handrails, beams, and other complex finish applications. Pay depends on experience and ability. We're intentionally staying a small, high-quality operation rather than trying to become a large construction company. This position is intended to become a key field role in the company as we continue to grow. If you're an experienced carpenter who enjoys doing quality work and would like more independence and responsibility, we'd like to hear from you.
