Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Carpenter Helper or General Laborer to join our manufacturing team. This role involves supporting daily operations within a manufacturing facility by performing a variety of physical tasks essential to production, assembly, and warehouse functions. The Carpenter Assistant supports carpenters and production crews in the construction of modular buildings. This position assists with framing, assembly, finish work, and general construction activities while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Candidates with carpentry experience as well as basic plumbing and electrical knowledge are strongly encouraged to apply, as the role may involve supporting multiple trades during the building process. Responsibilities Assist carpenters with framing, flooring, wall assembly, roofing, and finish work. Measure, cut, and install building materials according to specifications and blueprints. Support plumbing and electrical teams with installation activities as directed. Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely. Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the production facility. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety policies and quality standards. Work collaboratively with multiple trades to meet production schedules. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in carpentry, construction, framing, manufacturing, or a related trade preferred. Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations. Familiarity with hand and power tools. Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with residential or commercial carpentry. Basic plumbing experience, including installation or repair of piping, fixtures, or related components. Basic electrical experience, including wiring, device installation, or troubleshooting. Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings. Experience working in modular construction or manufacturing environments. Knowledge of general construction safety practices. Previous experience in carpentry, construction, framing, manufacturing, or a related trade preferred. Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations. Familiarity with hand and power tools. Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
