Journeyman Carpenter Diamond One Construction - 5.0 Del Valle, TX Job Details Full-time $35 - $40 an hour 20 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Cell phone reimbursement Vision insurance Qualifications Drywall metal stud framing Building finishing Partition framing Construction plans Construction drawing review Commercial carpentry Commercial building projects Local building codes Construction workplace safety regulations Full Job Description Position Summary General Contractor is seeking a skilled Journeyman Carpenter with a minimum of five (5) years of experience specializing in metal stud framing and drywall installation within commercial construction environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with layout, framing, hanging, and finishing drywall systems while maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Perform layout and installation of metal stud framing systems for walls, ceilings, and soffits Install drywall including: Hanging Taping Mudding Sanding Finishing Interpret and work from blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications Install backing, blocking, and support systems as required Measure, cut, and assemble framing materials accurately Maintain jobsite safety in accordance with OSHA and company standards Coordinate with other trades to ensure proper sequencing of work Utilize hand and power tools safely and efficiently Ensure all work meets commercial construction quality standards Identify and report field conflicts or discrepancies to supervision Ability to use moblie phone applications as required by employer and office applications. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of journeyman-level carpentry experience Proven experience with: Metal stud framing Drywall hanging and finishing Commercial tenant improvements (preferred) Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Knowledge of building codes and safety requirements Experience working in active commercial jobsite environments Reliable transportation and ability to travel to various jobsites Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 70 lbs Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and climb for extended periods Ability to work at heights when required We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
