Job Description

About this role Seeking experienced concrete formwork carpenters in Hallsville, TX to build and install forms for commercial and civil concrete structures. This role focuses on accurate layout, cutting, assembly, bracing and safe stripping of forms to support timely concrete placement. Work on active job sites with trade crews and concrete crews. Expect hands-on carpentry work, reading and following construction and civil drawings, and performing quality checks to meet project specifications and schedules. What you'll do Perform layout, measuring, and cutting for concrete formwork from plans and site reference points Assemble, brace, align and secure forms for walls, footings, slabs, and columns Strip and remove formwork safely after concrete reaches required strength Work with concrete crews to support placement, finishing, curing, and protection Follow construction drawings, specifications and site layout instructions Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work area; report issues to supervisors What we're looking for Hands-on experience building and stripping concrete formwork on commercial or civil projects Ability to read and interpret construction and civil drawings, layouts and specifications Skilled in measuring, cutting, framing, bracing and basic concrete finishing techniques Comfortable working around rebar, concrete pours, and operating hand and power tools Able to perform physical labor, work at heights, and work in extreme heat or cold conditions Qualifications Proven formwork carpentry experience (commercial/civil projects) OSHA 10 (or equivalent) preferred First Aid/CPR recommended Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Hallsville job sites English required; Spanish a plus What we offer Project-based, steady work on commercial and civil construction sites Overtime opportunities on scheduled pours and critical path tasks Site-provided PPE and basic safety equipment Paid safety training and certification support Clear advancement path to lead carpenter or formwork foreman roles Ready to apply?
