Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Carpenter/Laborer and be a vital part of transforming residential spaces through skilled craftsmanship and dedicated labor. In this role, you'll engage in a variety of carpentry and construction tasks, working closely with project managers and fellow tradespeople to deliver high-quality results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to meaningful renovation and building projects. Whether you're experienced or eager to learn, your hands-on expertise will help bring construction plans to life, ensuring safe, efficient, and precise execution on every job site. Duties Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects. Operate hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, drywall installation, fixture mounting, siding, stucco application, and other carpentry tasks. Perform heavy lifting of materials such as wood construction materials, drywall sheets, siding panels, and rebar for reinforcement. Install doors, cabinets, flooring, trim, moldings, fixtures, and other residential carpentry components with precision. Execute framing using metal studs or traditional wood framing techniques; install water damage restoration features when required. Apply finishing techniques including caulking, plastering, stucco application, and drywall finishing to achieve smooth surfaces. Conduct fabrication tasks using woodworking machines; interpret technical drawings for custom projects or repairs. Assist in remodeling projects by removing old materials like drywall or flooring and preparing surfaces for new installations. Support restoration efforts by performing mold remediation, rebar installation, siding repairs, and water damage restoration activities. Follow all safety protocols related to power tool use and construction site safety standards to ensure a secure work environment. Experience Prior experience in residential carpentry or general construction is highly preferred. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and reading blueprints or technical drawings is advantageous. Hands-on experience with hand tools such as saws, hammers, drills; power tools including nail guns and woodworking machines. Knowledge of various building materials including wood products, drywall compounds, siding materials, stucco finishes, and metal studs. Experience in installation of doors, cabinets, flooring systems, fixtures or siding on residential projects. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex tasks like rebar installation or mold remediation. Understanding of power tool safety procedures combined with practical experience in using power tools for woodworking and framing tasks. Previous involvement in restoration industry projects such as water damage repair or mold remediation is a plus but not mandatory. Embark on a rewarding career where craftsmanship meets innovation!
