The ideal candidate must have strong carpentry skills, knowledge of construction methods, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Applicants should be dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality workmanship while following all safety regulations. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, metal, and other building materials Build and install framing, walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, cabinets, and trim Perform rough and finish carpentry work Install drywall backing, blocking, and structural supports as required Repair and replace damaged structures, fixtures, and frameworks Operate hand tools, power tools, saws, drills, nail guns, and construction equipment safely Ensure all structures are level, square, plumb, and built to specifications Construct concrete forms, scaffolding, and temporary structures when needed Assist with demolition, remodeling, and renovation projects Follow building codes, safety regulations, and company policies Maintain clean and organized work areas and job sites Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools Work closely with supervisors, subcontractors, and other construction trades Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements Meet project deadlines while maintaining productivity and workmanship standards Qualifications Previous carpentry and construction experience required Strong knowledge of construction tools, materials, and techniques Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Ability to work independently and in a team environment
