Job Description

This position will create props for the Festival Season, Assist the shop in organization and coordination of props for shows, and work in the theaters to run and changeover productions. Work with other members of the run crew to run theatrical productions and deal with the changeovers between those productions. Typically, in the Anes Studio theater, but in whatever space is needed depending on the needs of the season. Typically, between July 1 and early October. Build, procure, prep props for all productions for each Festival season. Coordinate props for, on average, 3 shows per season. Follow all SUU and USF policies and procedures for procurement, safety, etc. Prop Shop maintenance. Working with Assistant Props Director on warehouse maintenance and inventory upkeep. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Theater General Knowledge of prop skills, including but not limited to: upholstery, soft goods, carpentry, metal working, ephemera creation. Experience running theatrical production as a member of the run-crew. Experience with scenic and prop changeovers between theatrical productions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience Prop coordination in theatrical productions. Organization/inventory control particularly with FileMaker databases Experience with Google suite. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud programs. Due to recent changes in H1B visa fees, Southern Utah University is no longer able to sponsor international faculty and staff that require an H1B visa and are currently living outside of the United States.
