Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and remodeling structures using a variety of materials and techniques. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring safety, quality, and precision in every project. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, from residential remodels to large-scale commercial projects, contributing your craftsmanship to build durable and aesthetically pleasing structures. Duties Read and interpret detailed construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately. Measure dimensions precisely using tape measures, rulers, and other tools to ensure proper fit and alignment of materials. Frame walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs with dimensional measurements using hand tools and power tools for sturdy construction. Install drywall, stucco, plastering components, and trim carpentry elements to achieve smooth finishes and polished appearances. Erect metal buildings and steel framing structures through metal stud framing and rebar installation techniques. Perform concrete forming, pouring, finishing, and rebar placement to create durable foundations and structural elements. Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks such as lifting heavy materials or performing demolition work on restoration or remodeling projects. Collaborate with construction management teams to follow safety protocols, adhere to schedules, and interpret technical drawings accurately. Qualifications Proven experience in carpentry with a strong background in construction site work across residential, commercial, or industrial projects. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; ability to interpret construction plans confidently. Skilled in the use of hand tools (hammers, saws, chisels), power tools (drills, saws), and heavy equipment operation as needed. Knowledge of metal building erection, concrete forming techniques, masonry work, roofing systems, drywall installation, and stucco application. Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately and utilize basic math skills for precise cuts and installations. Experience with rebar installation for concrete reinforcement and welding for structural components is highly desirable. Physical stamina for heavy lifting; ability to stand for long periods; comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces when necessary. Strong communication skills with the ability to read technical instructions and collaborate effectively with team members.
