Job Description
Overview About Us Grubaugh Construction is a full-service general contractor serving the Uintah Basin with residential and commercial remodeling, additions, structural concrete, exterior restoration, siding, fencing, and painting. We run in-house crews and take pride in clean, detail-driven work. Position Summary We're hiring an experienced Finish Carpenter to handle trim, cabinetry, doors, and detail work on remodels, additions, and new construction throughout the Basin. This is a role with real room to grow — we're looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career here, not just fill a slot. Responsibilities Install baseboard, casing, crown, and custom trim Hang and adjust interior/exterior doors, install hardware Install cabinetry, countertops, shelving, and built-ins Build stairs, handrails, and railings Read and work from blueprints and job specs Work alongside our crew and subs — communicate clearly, share the load, keep the job moving Mentor and train less experienced carpenters and apprentices Maintain a clean, safe jobsite and communicate with the superintendent and homeowners Punch-list and final detail work to a high standard Requirements 3+ years finish carpentry experience (or equivalent) Team player — able to work well with other crew members, subs, and homeowners Willing and able to teach: patience to show newer guys the right way to do it Own hand tools and basic power tools Precision with measurements, levels, and scribing Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders/scaffolding Professional conduct in occupied homes Preferred Cabinet installation and custom millwork experience Framing or general remodel experience OSHA 10 Why Work Here Competitive pay based on experience Consistent year-round work Paid holidays Room for growth — lead carpenter and foreman opportunities for the right person as we expand To Apply Submit your resume through Indeed or contact us at 435-219-9697 / andrewgrubaugh@gmail.com
