Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Lead carpenter to oversee and coordinate a wide range of construction projects. This pivotal role involves managing teams, ensuring safety standards, and delivering high-quality craftsmanship across various building types. As a Lead carpenter, you will be responsible for guiding crews through complex tasks such as building erection, concrete forming, and framing, while maintaining strict adherence to project timelines and specifications. Your leadership will inspire excellence on every site, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and craftsmanship. Responsibilities Lead and supervise construction crews in the execution of projects involving wood building erection, concrete forming, masonry, roofing, siding, and remodeling. Coordinate daily activities on-site, ensuring all work aligns with blueprints, schematics, and project plans. Oversee the installation of rebar, framing (including wood stud framing), drywall, stucco, and plastering to meet quality standards. Operate or direct the operation of heavy equipment and power tools safely and efficiently. Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and use proper hand tools and personal protective equipment at all times. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities accurately. Manage project timelines, materials procurement, and labor allocation to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards. Skills Extensive experience in metal building erection, concrete forming, masonry, roofing, siding, and remodeling projects. Strong knowledge of construction management principles with the ability to coordinate multiple trades effectively. Proficiency in rebar installation, concrete finishing techniques, carpentry—including trim carpentry—and heavy lifting operations. Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical documentation related to construction projects. Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team motivation and safety enforcement on construction sites. Familiarity with restoration work, siding installation, framing carpentry (including woodworking), plastering, stucco application, and roofing systems.
