Job Description
Position Summary The Carpenter is responsible for performing a wide range of construction tasks on residential projects, including framing, installation, and finish work. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results. Key Responsibilities Perform general carpentry work on residential construction and remodeling projects Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials according to specifications Install framing, drywall, siding, trim, doors, windows, cabinetry, and other components Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Assist with layout and site preparation Maintain a clean and organized job site Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines Collaborate with team members, subcontractors, and supervisors Identify and report issues or discrepancies in plans or materials Qualifications 5+ years of carpentry or construction experience preferred Basic understanding of residential construction methods and materials Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations Experience using common carpentry tools and equipment Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Skills & Competencies Attention to detail and quality workmanship Time management and efficiency Problem-solving skills Physical stamina and strength Willingness to learn and grow Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods Comfortable working in varying weather conditions Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Paid time off / holidays Health benefits Work Environment Residential job sites Local travel may be required
