Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Carpenter Helper and be an essential part of bringing building projects to life! This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside skilled carpenters on a variety of construction projects, from residential remodels to commercial installations. As a Carpenter Helper, you will gain hands-on experience in building material installation, framing, trim carpentry, and more, all while adhering to safety protocols and contributing to high-quality craftsmanship. Responsibilities Assist lead carpenters in constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures according to project plans and specifications Handle and operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently on various construction sites Support the installation of windows, doors, flooring, tile, stucco, plastering, caulking, and glass fixtures with precision and attention to detail Prepare work areas by measuring, cutting, and assembling materials while maintaining a clean and organized job site Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA standards Assist with outdoor work tasks such as hardscape installation and electrical or plumbing rough-ins as needed Requirements Prior construction experience or background in building construction preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment operation Experience with window installation, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying or similar trades is a plus Knowledge of safety procedures on construction sites and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment Strong physical stamina for outdoor work environments involving lifting, bending, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow directions from experienced carpenters or supervisors This role offers an engaging environment where your contributions directly impact the success of each project.
