Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Carpenter Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist experienced carpenters in various construction and renovation projects, contributing to the successful completion of tasks while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within the construction field. Duties Assist in the installation of structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard. Support carpenters in framing, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, and fixture installation. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks. Participate in concrete forming, plastering, siding, roofing, and flooring installation. Help with heavy lifting and moving materials as needed on construction sites. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety. Assist in masonry tasks as required by the project scope. Requirements Previous experience in construction or carpentry is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential. Familiarity with construction estimating and various carpentry techniques including frame carpentry and trim carpentry. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other equipment safely. Experience in the restoration industry is a plus; knowledge of caulking, stucco application, rebar installation, plumbing, electrical work, or masonry is advantageous. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods. Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on communication and collaboration on-site. A valid driver's license may be required depending on job site locations.
