Job Description
Skillforce is hiring Residential Carpenter Helpers for ongoing project work in Wake, Virginia. As a Residential Carpenter Helper, you will be responsible for supporting carpenters on a residential project. If you have at least one year of carpentry or construction helper experience, apply now!
Residential Carpenter Helper Pay:
$20.00 to $25.00 per hour based on your experience level. W-2 employment with weekly pay by direct deposit.Residential Carpenter Helper Schedule:
Monday through Friday, day shift with a morning start. Eight-hour days with weekends off. Consistent weekday hours on a single residential job site.Residential Carpenter Helper Responsibilities:
Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, and fastening materials on a private residential job site. Read a tape measure accurately and mark cuts to the measurements the lead carpenter gives you. Operate company-supplied power tools, such as circular saws, miter saws, and drills, safely and correctly. Move lumber and building materials around the site and keep a small inventory of supplies organized. Help set up tools and materials at the start of each shift and put them away at the end. Keep the work area clean, safe, and ready for the next day of work. Follow site safety practices and take direction from the lead carpenter throughout the day.Residential Carpenter Helper Qualifications:
You have at least one year of experience as a carpenter helper, construction helper, or in a similar hands-on role. You have working knowledge of basic hand tools and can read a tape measure to the sixteenth of an inch. You bring your own basic hand tools, such as a tape measure, hammer, and utility knife. You have reliable transportation to a rural job site in Wake, Virginia, every workday. You can lift and carry lumber and building materials throughout the day.
