Schedule:
Monday-Friday, Full-Time Onsite (Occasional after-hours, emergency, or on-call support may be required) Join the T47 International Team T47 International is seeking a skilled Carpenter to support facilities operations and maintenance at a federal facility in McLean, VA. This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of carpentry, drywall, painting, and finish work to maintain commercial buildings in a safe, functional, and professional condition. The ideal candidate has experience performing commercial building maintenance, interior renovations, and finish carpentry in institutional, government, or commercial facilities. Primary Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective carpentry maintenance on commercial facilities. Repair and install doors, frames, trim, molding, cabinetry, shelving, partitions, flooring, ceilings, stairs, counters, benches, and other building components. Construct and install wall framing and partitions. Install, repair, and finish drywall, including patching, taping, mudding, sanding, and texture matching. Prepare surfaces for painting and perform interior painting and touch-up work. Repair and replace ceiling tiles, baseboards, woodwork, and architectural finishes. Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and work orders to plan and complete assigned tasks. Measure, cut, fabricate, and install building materials using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Coordinate work with other maintenance trades to complete repairs efficiently. Maintain clean and safe work areas throughout each project. Document completed work, materials used, and maintenance activities within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with OSHA regulations and applicable building codes. Minimum Qualifications Minimum five (5) years of commercial carpentry or building maintenance experience , or completion of a formal carpentry apprenticeship or equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience performing commercial carpentry, drywall installation and repair, painting, and finish work. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications. Proficiency with hand tools, portable power tools, and precision measuring equipment. Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods and building materials. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance tasks. Valid driver's license. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Ability to successfully pass any required background investigation and maintain facility access. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting federal or government facilities. Experience with commercial renovations and occupied building maintenance. Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
