Onsite - onsite Responsibilities Analyze, determine, and complete building maintenance requirements including construction, alteration, installation, and repairs of buildings, equipment, and furnishings Construct cabinets, shelves, and other specialty items Perform preventive maintenance on the building and its furnishings Manage the Equipment Maintenance Program by developing and maintaining a preventative maintenance checklist, instructing staff, and monitoring compliance Train employees on equipment operation and serve as team lead if designated Research, document, communicate, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building maintenance regulations Serve as project manager for building maintenance projects, coordinate and direct work of assistants and contractors Conduct job analysis to determine project scope, requirements, and resources Select contractors through a competitive bidding process, analyze costs and quality, and recommend the most qualified candidates Ensure scheduled project completion by coordinating with customers, contractors, and staff Review technical documentation and blueprints from architects, engineers, and contractors Inspect work for quality and compliance with contract specifications Provide technical guidance to staff in trades such as electrical, maintenance, and plumbing Complete service orders and notify customers upon completion Assemble, disassemble, and repair furnishings and partitions according to manufacturer instructions Inspect building systems (roof, flooring, finishes, architectural elements), diagnose issues, and recommend solutions Make safety and code compliance recommendations to the Service Supervisor Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements 5-10 years of experience in building maintenance or relevant field Must possess a valid driver's license Thorough knowledge of local, state, and national building codes Knowledge of tools, mathematics, safety regulations, materials, and standards related to carpentry Ability to work independently and collaboratively to gain cooperation from others Ability to lift, move, and set up tools, equipment, and furniture weighing over 50 lbs
Desired:
Extensive commercial electrical maintenance experience Successful completion of the Apprenticeship Program for carpenters or equivalent formal training Proven experience demonstrating thorough knowledge and performance at the journeyman level Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills
