In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of carpentry tasks, from framing and trim work to complex metal building erection and remodeling projects. Your expertise will help bring construction plans to life, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your skills and expand your experience in the construction industry. Duties Interpret and follow detailed construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of projects. Construct, install, and repair structures using various materials including wood, metal studs, drywall, stucco, siding, and concrete forms. Erect metal buildings and frameworks with proficiency in metal stud framing and rebar installation. Perform concrete forming, finishing, and masonry work to create durable foundations and structures. Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely to cut, shape, assemble, and install building components. Conduct drywall installation, plastering, trim carpentry, and siding work with attention to detail for a polished finish. Measure dimensions accurately using tape measures and other hand tools; perform dimensional measurements for precise fitting. Assist with remodeling projects by removing old structures and installing new components in accordance with construction plans. Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times on the construction site; perform heavy lifting as needed. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks efficiently while interpreting technical drawings. Qualifications Proven experience in construction or carpentry roles with a strong understanding of building techniques. Proficiency in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and understanding construction plans. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation relevant to carpentry tasks. Knowledge of metal building erection, concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry, welding, drywall installation, stucco application, siding, and framing. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and accurately measure dimensions using tape measures and other tools. Basic math skills necessary for dimensional measurements and calculations related to construction projects. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety standards and teamwork. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and interpret technical instructions. Preferred certifications include OSHA safety training or other relevant construction safety credentials.
