Synergy Design & Construction — Reston, VA | Full-Time | M-F About the Role Synergy Design & Construction is an award-winning residential remodeling firm in Reston, VA, and we're looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter / Project Manager to own job sites from demo day through final punch list. This is a working position — you'll be hands-on in the field while also serving as the primary point of contact for our clients and trade partners. We work exclusively in Reston and the immediate surrounding area. No Maryland. No DC. What You'll Do Perform hands-on carpentry: framing (floors, walls, decks), finish trim (crown, base, casing), and cabinetry installation Lead demolition, rough framing, and punch list completion Supervise and inspect trade partner work across all disciplines — electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, drywall, painting, and masonry Read and execute from detailed architectural plans Manage job site schedule, budget adherence, and daily documentation Serve as the on-site point of contact for homeowners throughout each project What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in residential remodeling (not new construction) Strong finish carpentry and cabinetry installation skills Proven ability to manage a job site independently Comfortable reading architectural and construction plans Excellent communication skills — with clients, subcontractors, and an in-house design team Organized, accountable, and professional A genuine pride in the finished product Why Synergy Local focus — we work only in Reston and nearby NoVA communities In-house design team — plans and materials are finalized before you arrive on site Quality over speed — always Stable, year-round work — no seasonal layoffs, no slowdowns No weekends — consistent Monday-Friday schedule Compensation & Benefits $38- 42/hr based on experience Health, Dental & Vision Insurance (50% employer contribution) 401(k) with company matching Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays Flexible Spending Account Annual Tool & PPE Allowance Mileage Reimbursement 40 hours/week, M-F, year-round To Apply Submit your resume and, if available, photos of past finish work you're proud of.
