$30.00 - $34.00 per hour Job description: Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team, responsible for a variety of carpentry functions. AHG Construction & Remodeling is a Class A General Contractor focusing on Residential Home Additions, Renovations, & New Construction Projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of rough framing carpentry, as well as finish carpentry. Candidate needs to know how to frame complex roof systems as well as be able to perform aspects of finish carpentry that include installation of crown molding. Strong problem solving skills and ability to think on the fly are extremely important in this role. Looking for someone that is assertive and can "own" the role. Responsibilities Construct, install, and repair structures - exterior & interior framing / finish work Build framework and structures according to specifications / blueprints High End Projects with attention to details are of high importance in this role Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project completion. Various duties will also include demolition, lite siding work, decks, porches, finish carpentry, window/door installation, and general handyman projects. Work will be Outside and Inside in both Non Conditioned and Conditioned spaces. Experience Proven experience as a LEAD Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry.Preferred:
5-8 years of hands on framing carpentry experience Familiarity with various carpentry techniques and tools - rough & finish work. Previous experience framing residential homes as part of a framing crew is preferred. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings effectively. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on quality workmanship. Excellent physical condition; able to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
