Data Center Carpenter / Construction Laborer

We are hiring Carpenter Laborers to support ongoing construction activities inside active, mission‑critical data centers across Northern Virginia. This role works directly under a foreman or superintendent and is ideal for individuals with 1-5 years of commercial construction experience who thrive in structured, safety‑driven environments.

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM (40 hrs/week)

Duration:

8 months with strong extension potential What You'll Do Install and remove racking arms, support systems, and related hardware Install and prefab unistrut systems (overhead and floor‑mounted) Perform light carpentry and drywall tasks (cutting, patching, framing, painting) Install hollow metal doors and hardware Execute selective, non‑structural demolition Install bolt‑up steel systems (HSS columns, platforms, supports) Assist with small concrete work (pads, curbs, flatwork) Complete punch‑list tasks, cleanup, and material handling Support high‑volume production tasks (e.g., thousands of anchors/brackets under raised floors) Provide layout support for more experienced team members Who We're Looking For 1-3 years of commercial construction experience Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools, installs, and build‑out work Ability to take direction and work independently High attention to detail — mistakes are not tolerated in live data environments Comfortable in structured, safety‑first settings Ideal backgrounds include: Commercial interiors Light structural/support installation Data center or mission‑critical experience (preferred but not required) Requirements OSHA 10 (required) First Aid/CPR, HazCom, Bloodborne Pathogens (as required) Ability to pass a background check and drug screening for badging MEWP/equipment certifications are a plus Work Environment This work takes place inside highly controlled, security‑sensitive data centers. You must be comfortable with: Strict no‑phone, no‑photo, NDA‑protected environments Working around energized systems under "look, don't touch" protocols Early‑morning access confirmations (typically 4:30-5:00 AM) Occasional access delays or building reassignments (partial pay may apply when delays occur)

Pay:

$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
