Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Carpenter to oversee and execute complex construction projects with precision and expertise. As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for managing carpentry teams, interpreting detailed construction plans, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead by example, demonstrate technical mastery, and contribute to the successful delivery of diverse building projects. Your leadership will be vital in coordinating tasks, mentoring team members, and maintaining a productive work environment. Duties Lead and supervise carpentry crews on various construction sites, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute framing, drywall installation, trim carpentry, roofing, siding, stucco, and other finishing tasks Oversee metal building erection, metal stud framing, rebar installation, concrete forming, and concrete finishing processes with precision Manage construction plans and schematics to coordinate tasks such as masonry work, plastering, restoration projects, and remodeling efforts Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship in woodworking and drywall installation Ensure proper use of hand tools like tape measures for dimensional measurements and carpentry tasks requiring accuracy Coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines while maintaining quality control throughout all phases of construction Requirements Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in carpentry disciplines including framing, trim work, roofing, siding, drywall, stucco, and masonry Demonstrated expertise in interpreting technical drawings such as blueprints and schematics; familiarity with construction plans is essential Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in framing, drywall installation, roofing, welding, plastering, and other trade-specific tasks Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while managing multiple responsibilities on active job sites Knowledge of metal building erection techniques and metal stud framing; experience with concrete forming and rebar installation is highly desirable Strong understanding of construction safety protocols along with experience operating heavy equipment when necessary Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; familiarity with dimensional measurements is required Excellent leadership skills to guide teams effectively while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship in all aspects of construction work Valid experience working on diverse construction sites; ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings confidently Join us as a Lead Carpenter if you're ready to take charge of challenging projects with enthusiasm!
