Carpenter

Job Summary we are seeking 1-2 carpenters to join our team immediately. successful candidates must have residential carpentry experience. we can add carpenters from journeyman level to lead carpenters.

who you should not be:

i'm not using the generic AI job description and if you need that sort of fluff, you aren't the right member for our team. someone who thinks carpentry is fun and might want ot "try" it. the guy who says he has no problem driving an hour to work each day - if so, you are silly a guy looking to fulfill his unemployment job search requirements. someone with a drug or alcohol problem who you should be: a responsible adult who enjoys the reward of accomplishing concrete things everyday someone who enjoys being challenged daily and enjoys variety in their work someone who enjoys a healthy work/life balance. someone who likes to be positive and productive with their coworkers every day.

what you need:

you need experience. we don't have the time to train someone who has never worked on a crew before. building your own garden shed doesn't count. you need your own personal tools (toolbelt, cordless kti etc) if you dont own these you arent a carpenter. we supply all the big stuff but a carpenter without a belt and cordless kit is a laborer. a good attitude. we have zero pateince for grumpy debbie downers . we spend far too much time together to bring on an emotion anchor to the crew. enough confidence to not need me to massage your ego daily. i'll take care of you and will have your back if you are a member of the team but im not going to kiss your butt or give you an 80k pickup truck to drive around because you will show up 40 hrs a week. a desire to be part of a team. we will be the best teammates you have ever had and we don't put up with bad apples. a desire to work with people. despite what a lot of people in the trades think, building is more about working with people than it is 2x4's. you need to live in the montpelier area. it is the center of our service area and we work in a 30-40 minute driving radius of that. if you don't live in that general area, the driving will not work out in the long term.

Pay:

$22.00 - $30.00 per hour
