Job Description

McBride Construction is seeking several full-time residential/remodel focused carpenters whose primary focus will be performing work in the Skagit County area. Opportunity We are in the market for several a productive, positive, carpenters. Our carpenters oversee our apprentices, their safety, production standards, and time keeping. As a McBride carpenter, you will perform various construction tasks, provide quality control, and rely on skills gained to perform quality work. Candidates should be forward-thinking, creative, organized, and self-directed. We are seeking a team member with prior experience in large-scale residential reconstruction. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years experience in residential carpentry and at least half a decade in the industry. Candidates must have a complete understanding of reconstruction procedures including general shell, RWB, interior and exterior finishes and the ability to thoroughly understand architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings. Directly Responsible For Constructs, erects, installs and repairs structures and fixtures with many different building materials. Must possess a high level in at least two construction disciplines described above. Interpret blueprints and layout between the phases of construction. Position requires a worker with varied experience and ability to perform multiple tasks transferring from one task to another according to work demands. Work under the direction of a supervisor or skilled worker and direct apprentice carpenters and laborers when directed. This job requires practical problem solving in standardized situations and the ability to interpret and follow instructions. This position requires heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and traversing scaffolding. Details of physical demands are provided during the interview process. Experience:
Long tenured journeyman carpenter with no less than a decade of progressively increasing responsibility and experience. Thorough knowledge in all phases of construction Comfortable and persuasive in subcontractor and client meetings Organized, self-directed and has excellent leadership ability Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills The ideal candidate has reliable transportation capable of carrying tools and materials and supplies to and from the jobsite.
