Prefabrication Installer Craft Contracting & Consulting LLC Pay:
$23.00 to $33.00 per hour,
DOE Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Job Summary Craft Contracting & Consulting LLC is seeking a Wood Framer / Prefabrication Installer to join our team. This position involves the offsite fabrication of prefabricated wood-framed building components and/or onsite installation of those components. Our work includes wall panels, floor systems and cassettes, roof components, stairs, blocking, framing assemblies, and other structural wood-framed components. We are looking for someone who understands wood framing, is comfortable using standard framing tools and equipment, and can work accurately from construction plans, measurements, layouts, cut lists, and production instructions. Candidates with two or more years of wood framing or related construction experience are preferred. We are also willing to train the right candidate who has strong mechanical ability, can safely and confidently operate construction tools, and is motivated to learn prefabricated construction. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, dimensions, layouts, cut lists, and production instructions to determine framing requirements. Measure, lay out, cut, assemble, and install wood-framed components accurately using standard framing practices and basic construction math. Fabricate wall panels, floor systems and cassettes, roof components, stairs, blocking, and other structural wood-framed assemblies in an offsite production environment. Install prefabricated wood-framed components onsite as required. Work with roof trusses, floor systems, wall framing, sheathing, blocking, and related structural framing components. Operate saws, nail guns, drills, impact drivers, pneumatic tools, and other standard framing and construction equipment safely and effectively. Perform conventional wood framing when required. Verify dimensions, squareness, layout, fastening, and overall quality before components move to the next stage of production or installation. Assist with loading, staging, material handling, and preparation of prefabricated components for delivery and installation. Perform onsite installation work at heights when required while following applicable fall protection and safety requirements. Maintain an organized and safe work area. Follow company safety procedures and proper tool operating practices. Work effectively with production, warehouse, field, and project team members. Qualifications Two or more years of wood framing, carpentry, construction, or related experience preferred. Candidates with less experience may be considered if they are proficient with construction tools, mechanically inclined, dependable, and willing to learn. Working knowledge of common framing tools and equipment. Ability to accurately use a tape measure and perform basic construction math, dimensional measurements, and layout. Ability to safely operate saws, nail guns, drills, impact drivers, and related construction tools. Basic understanding of residential and/or light commercial wood-framed construction. Ability to understand construction plans, details, dimensions, and basic structural framing layouts. Ability to follow drawings, layouts, instructions, and established production processes. Reliable attendance and ability to work the scheduled 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM shift. Ability to work independently and as part of a production or installation crew. Strong attention to quality, accuracy, productivity, and safety. Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift and move construction materials and framing components. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, carry materials, and perform physical construction work throughout the workday. Ability to safely work at heights when performing field installation. Ability to work in both an offsite production environment and active construction sites. About Craft Craft Contracting & Consulting LLC specializes in offsite prefabricated wood-framed construction. Pay:
