This position is responsible for completing the detailed carpentry work that gives a newly constructed home its finished, polished appearance. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, pays close attention to detail, and can work efficiently while maintaining high standards. Responsibilities Install interior and exterior trim, baseboards, casing, crown molding, and other finish carpentry. Install interior doors, door frames, and hardware. Install and finish stair components, railings, and handrails. Install cabinets, shelving, built-ins, and other custom woodwork as needed. Complete window and door trim and other detailed finish work. Measure, cut, fit, and install materials accurately. Perform punch-list and final carpentry work prior to homeowner move-in. Make adjustments and repairs to ensure a quality finished product. Inspect completed work for proper fit, alignment, appearance, and workmanship. Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and measurements. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, nail guns, and other carpentry equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site. Protect floors, walls, cabinets, fixtures, and other completed work from damage. Coordinate work with the construction manager, subcontractors, and other members of the construction team. Identify material needs, construction issues, and potential problems and communicate them promptly. Follow company quality standards, construction plans, building codes, and safety requirements. Perform additional carpentry and construction duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous residential finish carpentry experience preferred. Strong knowledge of residential construction and finish carpentry techniques. Excellent measuring, cutting, fitting, and installation skills. Ability to read construction plans and accurately interpret measurements. Experience using common hand and power tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Professional attitude and ability to work well with a construction team. Valid driver's license required. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50-75 lbs. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and work for extended periods. Ability to work on ladders and elevated surfaces. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions. Ability to safely operate carpentry tools and equipment.
