Job Description

Job Title:
Carpenter Job Description This role focuses on concrete and carpentry work for new commercial building projects, including rough and finish carpentry, steel stud framing, and installation of doors, windows, and trim. You will read blueprints, use a variety of hand tools, and contribute to both structural and finish phases of construction while working independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Perform concrete-related tasks on new commercial building projects, including work on footings and wall forms as needed. Complete rough framing work, including layout, measuring, cutting, and assembling framing components according to project specifications. Perform steel stud framing for commercial structures, ensuring accurate placement and secure installation. Install doors, frames, windows, and related hardware in accordance with plans and manufacturer specifications. Execute finish carpentry tasks such as installing finish trim and other detailed woodwork to deliver a high-quality finished product. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans to determine layout, materials, and methods of work. Use basic hand tools and measuring tools, such as hammers and tape measures, safely and effectively to complete daily tasks. Assist with general construction duties on new builds, supporting concrete, masonry, and steel construction activities as needed. Work both independently and collaboratively with a crew to meet project timelines and quality standards. Follow site safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area on active construction sites. Essential Skills At least 1 year of experience in either finish carpentry or steel stud framing. Hands-on experience in residential or commercial carpentry environments. Proficiency with doors, frames, and hardware installation. Ability to perform rough framing tasks using standard construction methods. Experience with steel stud framing in commercial building applications. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings. Competence using basic hand tools, including hammers, tape measures, and related carpentry tools. Capability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as effectively within a team. Understanding of general construction practices, including carpentry and basic masonry or concrete-related work. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with steel construction projects. Concrete experience, particularly with footings and wall forms, including Symons form systems. Familiarity with masonry work on construction sites. Comfort working on both interior and exterior portions of new builds. Why Work Here? You will regularly use tools such as hammers, tape measures, and other standard carpentry and construction equipment. Work is typically localized to Manitowoc and nearby areas, and standard schedules generally do not exceed about 45 hours per week, allowing you to be home each night. Appropriate construction-site attire and personal protective equipment will be required in line with site safety standards. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
