Carpenter Wanted - Start ASAP Job Description This role involves performing a wide range of carpentry work on vacant retail stores, multi-family buildings such as condominiums and apartments, as well as residential remodeling projects. You will contribute to both rough and finish carpentry, supporting new construction, renovations, and tenant improvements across commercial and residential environments. Responsibilities Perform rough carpentry tasks, including framing walls, floors, ceilings, and other structural elements for retail, multi-family, and residential projects. Execute finish carpentry work such as installing trim, doors, baseboards, casing, and other detailed woodwork to a high standard of quality. Work on vacant retail store projects and commercial facilities, ensuring carpentry tasks are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. Support carpentry work on multi-family buildings, including condominiums and apartments, following project plans and specifications. Contribute to residential remodeling projects by removing, modifying, and installing carpentry components as required. Read and interpret basic drawings, layouts, or instructions provided by supervisors or project leads to complete assigned tasks. Use appropriate hand and power tools for framing, rough-in, and finishing tasks while following safety practices and company procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times on job sites. Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other trades to coordinate work and resolve issues as they arise. Demonstrate consistent dependability by arriving on time, working productively throughout the shift, and completing assignments as directed. Essential Skills 3-5 years of steady, hands-on carpentry work experience in commercial, multi-family, or residential construction. Proficiency in rough carpentry, including framing and structural work. Proficiency in finish carpentry, including installation of trim, doors, and detailed woodwork. Ability to perform both rough and finish carpentry as needed based on project requirements. Demonstrated history of consistent employment and reliability in previous carpentry roles. Strong dependability, punctuality, and productivity on job sites. Ability to follow instructions, work independently on assigned tasks, and collaborate effectively with a team. Commitment to safe work practices and proper use of tools and equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working on retail store build-outs or remodels. Experience in multi-family construction, including condominiums and apartments. Familiar in residential remodeling projects. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukesha, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $28.00/hr.
