Job Description

The Maintenance Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of manual tasks to support the upkeep, repair, and cleanliness of facilities, grounds, and equipment. This role ensures that all areas remain safe, functional, and presentable, contributing to operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment Perform basic repairs (e.g., patching walls, fixing doors, replacing light bulbs) Assist with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance under supervision Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively Maintain outdoor areas: mow lawns, remove snow, clear debris, trim vegetation Clean and sanitize common areas, restrooms, and workspaces Transport tools, materials, and equipment between job sites Respond promptly to maintenance requests and document completed tasks Support renovation and construction projects as needed Follow all safety protocols and report hazards or incidents immediately Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Basic knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures Ability to read and follow instructions, manuals, and safety guidelines Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety Good communication and teamwork skills Work Conditions Full-time or part-time; may include evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts Indoor and outdoor work environments Use of protective gear and adherence to OSHA standards
