Location:
Proctor WV Job Summary Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking experienced Concrete Form Carpenters to support the construction of a major water treatment facility. Candidates will be responsible for building, assembling, and installing concrete forms used for foundations, walls, slabs, tanks, structural components, and other concrete structures. This is a great opportunity for skilled carpenters with commercial, industrial, or heavy civil construction experience who are comfortable working in a demanding construction environment. Responsibilities Build, assemble, and install concrete forms for foundations, walls, slabs, footings, tanks, and structural concrete Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout plans Measure, cut, and install lumber, plywood, engineered form systems, and other forming materials Set and align forms according to project specifications and elevations Install braces, supports, ties, and other formwork components Assist with concrete pours, including checking forms and making adjustments as needed Perform layout and ensure forms are properly positioned, level, plumb, and secure Safely use hand tools, power tools, saws, drills, and other carpentry equipment Assist with stripping, dismantling, and cleaning forms after concrete placement Work closely with concrete crews, laborers, foremen, and other construction trades Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all site safety requirements Qualifications Previous experience as a Concrete Form Carpenter or Carpenter working with concrete formwork Experience with commercial, industrial, heavy civil, or infrastructure construction preferred Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings Strong knowledge of concrete forming, layout, and installation Proficiency with common carpentry hand and power tools Ability to take accurate measurements and follow specifications Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and active construction operations Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods Reliable transportation and dependable attendance OSHA 10 or PEC Safeland is required Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Water/wastewater treatment facilities Industrial concrete construction Heavy civil construction Foundations and structural concrete Concrete walls and elevated structures Tank construction Footings and slabs Commercial or industrial form systems Gang forms, Symons forms, Peri, Doka, or similar forming systems Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry construction materials Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work for extended periods Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions Ability to safely work from ladders, platforms, and elevated work areas when required Why Join Summit Skilled Solutions?
