Job Description
Get paid to be a dive guide in Key West! We are a small, family-owned dive shop located in Key West, Florida and truly love what we do! We offer SNUBA excursions, cocktail cruises, sandbar charters, SCUBA excursions, and SCUBA certification courses. We are looking for a professional, reliable, and friendly dive guide to join our awesome crew! To be a SNUBA guide, the diver must be at least Rescue certified. However, we are open to the possibility of training someone who already has their Open Water certification (as an OW diver, you can still work as an excursion photographer!). SNUBA is the largest affiliated dive organization in the world with dive centers everywhere from Aruba to Taiwan. The perfect combination between snorkeling and SCUBA diving, SNUBA offers uncertified divers and swimmers the chance to breathe underwater while exploring the marine world. For most of our guests, this is their first diving experience, and our guides are responsible for providing a fun and safe environment. Our dive program is similar to a hotel resort course, with only slight differences. The tank remains on the surface in a floating raft, and guests are equipped with a breathing apparatus attached to an air hose 20 feet in length. Trips typically last from 3 to 4 hours, from check-in to returning to the dock. We operate all year long and our guides' income is well above the normal rate, starting at $65 per trip, plus $15 per guest guided and tip share.
