Position Summary Marine Detailers are responsible for cleaning, restoring, and protecting vessels to maintain a high standard of appearance and customer satisfaction. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of proper marine care techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in both shop and dockside environments. Key Responsibilities Perform thorough washing, cleaning, compounding, polishing, and waxing of boats and marine vessels Clean interiors including vinyl, carpet, compartments, bilges, and glass Oxidation removal and gelcoat restoration Apply ceramic coatings, sealants, and protective treatments as required Remove stains, scum lines, mold, and mildew Clean and detail engines and mechanical spaces (as appropriate) Inspect vessels for damage or areas needing additional attention and report findings Install shrink wrap on land and in the water Safely operate buffers, polishers, pressure washers, and other detailing equipment Transport equipment and supplies to marina, boatyard, or customer locations Maintain cleanliness and organization of detailing vehicles, equipment, and work areas Follow all safety, environmental, and company procedures Communicate professionally with customers and team members Assist with shrink wrapping, basic marina services, or related tasks as needed Required Qualifications Prior marine detailing or automotive detailing experience preferred Valid driver's license with reliable transportation Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders or around docks Strong attention to detail and quality standards Basic knowledge of marine surfaces, products, and tools Dependable with strong work ethic and time management skills Work Environment Work performed indoors and outdoors, including marinas, boatyards, and customer residences Exposure to cleaning chemicals, marine environments, and weather conditions Physical role requiring bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods Performance Expectations Maintain high-quality finish standards Complete jobs within scheduled timeframes Follow safety and environmental compliance Contribute to positive customer experiences
